I hear you asking, "What's this weekend thing about?" Well, let me tell you! Hey Ladies (Cue the Beastie Boys!) From April 27-May 1, 2017, the girls are taking over Walt Disney World! That's right, no husbands/significant others, and no kids!! That means more time for you to do what you want without having to worry about your little one having a meltdown because you said no to the balloon/candy/light up toy...you get the picture!.
You get FOUR amazing nights of hanging with your mom, sister, best friend, whoever you bring along, plus, you get to meet other Disney loving women! The weekend is sponsored by Living With the Magic Vacations. We will have discounted rooms and tickets, an official event, and plenty of unofficial ones! Oh yeah, and if you are anything like me and look for any excuse to get dolled up, look no further, because this year, we will be there during Dapper Days! This is an unofficial event that happens twice a year in Walt Disney World, and Disneyland, where people dress up in their best vintage styles! It is all tres chic! If dressing up isn't you thing, no worries, just be yourself, as that is what this weekend is all about!
Here's a rundown of what we will be doing each day!
Thursday April 27 is Arrival Day. If you get in early, come get wild with us at Animal Kingdom! We will have dinner at Yak and Yeti that evening, and (fingers crossed, if it is open) get to see Rivers of Light, the newest nighttime spectacular!
On Friday, we go to Hollywood Studios, with dinner at Mama Melrose's! You can do your best to convince me to get on the Tower of Terror, but I will have my feet planted firmly on the ground for that one!
After a day of exploring Hollywood, we head over to the nearby Boardwalk Inn Resort for a night of fun at Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar!
Come along for this one! I guarantee I will be singing along to ALL the songs! lol
On Saturday, we are off to Magic Kingdom
This is the first day of Dapper Day, so for those participating, dress in your vintage-y best! In honor of Dapper Day, we will be heading to the Grand Floridian for afternoon Tea (so very proper!)
Then, that night, we will let loose for a good time at Hoop Dee Doo Review!
Sunday, Dapper Day continues in Epcot!
It wouldn't be a girls' weekend without a little bubbly! We have a very special private event scheduled here. This is out big official meetup! Breakfast in France with a MIMOSA BAR (EEEEEEKKKK!!), followed by an early morning ride on Soarin' Around the World.
We top off the night with an incredible Mexican meal at La Hacienda, and Illuminations.
"And, now it's time to say goodbye to all out company," we've made it to the end of our trip. Hopefully you have had some amazing time to reconnect with all of your best girls, and have made some incredible new friends! Before we say goodbye though, we have our farewell breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, at the Grand Floridian. Come hang out with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, and your friends from the 100 Acre Woods.
So before you go "M-I-C, See ya real soon, K-E-Y, Why? Because we like you! M-O-U-S-E"
